About Me

Greetings! and welcome to my blog about pregnancy, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, parenting... where I share my passion and knowledge for all things relating to maternal and child health (MCH). I also have pages for information about services I provide, such as doula and lactation consulting.

In this blog I address a large variety of MCH topics including: modern maternity care, birth options, prenatal and perinatal psychology, global MCH, infant care, immunization, circumcision, breastfeeding, postpartum care, resource reviews, policies, programs, initiatives, and so much more!

My background:
I obtained my Master's degree in Public Health, with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health from the University of South Florida in 2013. I have been a certified practicing birth doula with DONA International since 2012, re-certified in 2015, and I am also an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) as of 2015.

I previously held a certification as a Certified Lactation Counselor from Healthy Children's Center for Breastfeeding from 2012-2015 which I did not renew because I was sitting for the IBCLC exam.

Whether you are a fellow doula, birth professional, current or future parent, or just someone interested in a MCH related topic, I invite you to poke around my blog and feel free to leave a comment about something interesting or controversial. I always welcome other insights and opinions!

  1. Hello dear reader

How are you? Think better.I read your post It is nice. Both certificate and license can serve as your ticket to be a childcare professional. Almost all childcare facilities will only hire individuals in which can show their license or certificate as proof that they have undergone deep training in taking care of children.Look about: certificate 3 in childcare
